"No further questions," he muttered through clenched teeth as the Soulchaser
was excused from the stand.
Julia stood and spoke, her words sure to shock the lawyer from hell "The
Defense rests. We are ready for closing arguments."
She then sat back into the chair, just as Jimmy leaned over to Alex and
spoke. He hadn't been able to during the trial, as per instruction but he
had heard what she had said earlier.
"Thanks." he whispered back before leaning toward his brother "Don't tell me
you didn't luck out with this one."
Then he sat straighter in his chair, looking at the Fates to await the
judgment.
Julia looked over at the Prosecuting head lawyer.
