Sure, pointers to "do step 1, 2, 3 to get an inexpensive stratum 1 server", or 
"product X can help get a time source into a basement" or "this is how I 
monitor my pool server" are relevant.

The current discussion wasn't practical, I think. It'd be better served over on 
the NTP newsgroup where the real ntp experts are.
