I'm thinking of getting back into proper timekeeping now that I have my own place and can (finally) put up a GPS antenna for my poor unloved timeserver.
Looking around, it appears that Meinberg offer some PCIe cards nowadays (rather than serial connected units) but I can't seem to find anyone who has configured these or similar as a stratum 0 source. They appear to offer Windows and Linux drivers. Are Meinberg still the go-to for this stuff? Does this appear as a PCIe device delivering time and ... PPS source somehow? What are people running if you've set up the hardware in the last (say) 6 months - and is FreeBSD on bare metal still the best way to go for the stratum 0 source? Any tips / pointers to guides much appreciated Thanks Dave. -- David Rawling - Principal Consultant PD Consulting and Security t: +61 41 213 5513 | e: [email protected] Please note that whilst we take all care, neither PD Consulting and Security nor the sender accepts any responsibility for viruses and it is your responsibility to scan for viruses.
