Hey,

I saw Dancer In the Dark and, boring me, I loved it. I
hate musicals, can't really stand Bjork, all things
I'm currently reconsidering. Since long I wasn't
terribly annoyed seeing Bjork's face. And I think she
was actually pretty good as Selma. She really has that
naive plaything, that ever smiling happy face which
really were Selma's characteristics.
The shaky, bubbly camerawork to tell the story, the
fantasies in clean digital beauty.
Wasn't it amazing how some cracking sound eventually
led to a song?
Come on, so what the story being a bit too over the
top and unreal, it's a fiction afterall.
No, I was really amazed by it and the ending really
shocked me and almost got me crying. So no, I wasn't
laughing when I left, I'd turned all silent and pissed
off it's always the good ones that die.

Katrien
