Tav Falco's Panther Burns Tav used to live in a little white trash house here in Memphis on Princeton. Real scary neighborhood by the tracks. He would come in my offce late at night after hours to use the copier and would always haggle over the price of copies. I always gave him a "deal" even if it was only for 20 cents worth of copies. Hell, I figured he had the balls to ask, why the hell not... He is from the Alex Chilton school of rock. I used to run with that pack years ago when I played with the Hellcats here in Memphis. Lorrette Velvette, one of the Hellcats was his girlfriend at the time and we sometimes practiced at his house and ate peanut butter sandwiches. SHe later toured with him and mostly wore really wild lepoard outfits but now she is a pretty good guitar player, and solo artist. THIS IS GOING BACK YEARS AGO! He is the best self promo guy I know in the world. He moved from Memphis to France and became a big hit overseas. The music used to be really sloppy versions of blues and rockabilly songs. He is a real showman, he is really from Mississippi, and his real name is GUS NELSON. There's the scoop, more like just plain gossip..... He is coming to Memphis on the 13th, but I am giging myself that night........
