First,
echo -e "action=DUNNO\n\n"
will send THREE newline characters, and will therefore break the
protocol.
DCemo (assuming Bash):
$ echo -e "action=DUNNO\n\n" | od -cb
0000000 a c t i o n = D U N N O \n \n \n
141 143 164 151 157 156 075 104 125 116 116 117 012 012 012
0000017
Second, I would not process data from the network with a shell.
