Hi All,

Pflogsumm version 1.1.8 has been released. This is a Beta release
that supersedes v1.1.7.

This catches me up with every bug-report and enhancement request I
could find, all the way back to the release of v1.1.5, that were still
applicable. Two exceptions, which I will note below.

From the ChangeLog:

rel-1.1.8 20250525

    Removed the following deprecated options

        --no_bounce_detail
        --no_deferral_detail
        --no_reject_detail
        --no_smtpd_warnings

pflogsumm no longer accepts underscores ("_") as part of option
names. (Note: this finally addresses four-year-old Bugzilla bug
    1931403.)

Code cleanup: Changed some variable constants to true constants.

Added test for reject type "BDAT" (Thanks to Maxim,
    admin-at-modum-dot-by, for the heads up.)

Fixed unitialized $hostID value bug-reported to OpenSUSE. Thanks
to Sven Uebelacker (uebelhacker) for the bug report.

I *suspect* that, with an earlier fix I applied, that
undefined value will no longer occur, but this fix certainly
        won't hurt anything—just in case.

Added -srs-mung option. Thanks and a tip o' the hat to Tom
    Hendrikx (tom-at-whyscreem-dot-net) for the contribution.

Here's where to get it:

There are only two remaining enhancement requests *of which I'm
aware*:

    • A rather extensive postscreen patch submitted by Geoffrey
      Lassner (red36-at-zyni-dot-com) on 2012-04-26.

It's much more extensive than what had been submitted to
Debian, incorporated into v1.1.6. I've yet to evaluate it.

    • A --time-range option, allowing one to specify an arbitrary
date-and-time range for logfile entries, submitted by Michiel
      Buddingh (michiel-at-michielbuddingh-dot-net) on 2012-12-03.

I've yet to evaluate it, but I'd been thinking of doing that,
      anyway.

To military, ex-military, and military families throughout the world:
Thank you for your service and the service of your loved ones.

Regards,
Jim
