The postconf command will not change the order of parameters that
already exist in main.cf. If a parameeter DOES NOT exist
in main.cf, then postconf appends one at the end of the file.
If you copy the main.cf file immediately before and immediately
after the postfconf edit commands you will find that is what happens.
When the postfconf command appends *multiple* parameters then the
order of those parameters is random.
if you want those parameters to have a known order, then I suggest
that you provide a main.cf file with a (preliminary) setting for
those parameters.
