I agree that "inet_interface_addresses" would be more explcit, but
this was not recognized as a problem by the people who chose to use
Postfix in 1998. In the meantime, an entire generation has grown
up with different backgrounds and expectations.
Some feature names from the early years are no longer with us,
because the name did not match the purpose, or because the purpose
became obsolete. If a name is too confusing then it can be changed
or deprecated.
