When the first return failures - but when the first address is unreachable,
it takes a while to timeout, which will users consider "slow" and will
complain about that.

Since this is only going to be used by myself and a few other people,
we can work around those issues you mentioned. But I agree, it can be
an issue in some environments.
Yes, if you have just a few people capable of understanding the issue, they
may live with it.
