good. helo is seen by outsiders (for example, in Received: headers), so it's good to use a "public" name. Here, some private "patterns" are rejected (localhost, localdomain, lan, private, ....). While in principle I don't take about helo, it helps getting rid of many silly clients. > Is that a good enough reason? >
