Did you read this slightly related but different thread? http://www.irbs.net/internet/postfix/0110/0554.html Discusses how to rewrite and when and why it might be a bad idea. Sometimes this is one of those settings it was best to get right first time, but it depends what addresses you have in use and how extensive the use of it is. Alternatively put on your BoFH hat, and explain that "+" is allowed in email addresses in the RFCs and change your email address to "+" till they get the hint. I'm told email addresses consisting only of allowed symbols rather than alphanumerics get a lot less spam, but I've never tried it. People with apostrophes in their name will salute your support for the RFCs.
