Hi list, I have a client platform trying to send me a mail with a non-RFC compliant sender address like '[email protected]'.
As they are unable to change this, I'm facing the task to have my postfix accept this sender address but I keep getting the usual 'warning: Illegal address syntax' in my postfix logs. I have disabled the rfc821 envelopes check : strict_rfc821_envelopes = no I have tried using a smtpd_sender_restrictions regexp match to get it pass without luck : smtpd_sender_restrictions = check_sender_access regexp:/etc/mail/except /etc/mail/except contains : /.mydomain.com/ OK So I'm turning to you list in case you have some leads or solution to point me to please.
