This happens when you use a DNS server that tries to be helpful by turning "not found" responses into something else. While that's OK for general web browsing, it's a disaster for a mail server. If you use OpenDNS, you can create a free account and turn off their "Typo Correction" feature. The best solution is to run your own DNS server. -- Noel Jones
