How should i change the policy?

Allowed by whom ? Allowed where ?

If the strings you listed were really used as addresses, then your user-agent failed, since the first is not valid, and the latter would be a valid addr-spec by pure coincidence only. MIME-encoded angle bracket characters are not valid as angle-addr delimiters - the "<" and ">" must be present literally.

Both my MUA (Thunderbird 7.0.1) and postfix 2.8.5 have no trouble with (my name)<my.mailbox@my.domain> - no spaces between the parenthesis and left angle bracket. Since, according to RFC 5322 section 3.4, Address Specification, (whatever) is considered a comment, this is perfectly valid either before or after an <angle-addr>.
