Benny, the only thing that does is to ensure that the sender login mismatch check is never done, because all authenticated senders are permitted, regardless of what the smtpd_sender_login_maps might contain. The likely best answer for the OP is to review http://www.postfix.org/postconf.5.html#smtpd_sender_login_maps and ensure that the maps are correct. Another comment I can recall from the OP is that he seems to expect this to apply to addresses in the From: headers.
