I did NOT tell you to use two accounts.

I told you to use two email addresses.

An email address IS NOT an account.

If it helps to rephrase the example:

Prerequisites:
    foo@example delivers to script
    foo.maildir@example delivers to maildir

Use virtual_alias_maps with:
    foo@example foo@example, foo.maildir@example

Now, mail for foo@example goes to script and maildir.
