There are snapshots, there is source access beyond regular
releases?

 |In postfix-3.8-20230402 I updated dns_rr_create() and dns_rr_free(),

I do not know whether i have asked that in the past already.
postfix has a sophisticated DNS system, at least in respect to
what it "can" (and .. well .. i would presume the implementation
as such is also top), with DANE support and all that etc, also
thanks to Viktor Dukhovni.
It seems so square to have a need to use the C library resolver,
or external library, or even code something yourself, in order to
implement a policy or milter or filter for postfix. Even though
possibly different TXT or so RRs are asked than what postfix
itself (already) asks/ed.
You know, i looked around a bit last year, on my too long TODO
list there would be a DKIM (/ARC .. sigh, if that would only end
up in DKIM itself) likely filter, and if only one could hook that
DNS system of postfix; if i recall correctly from my superficial
looking the necessary functionality would already be there
entirely, what would be missing is a library to link against, or
a simple text protocol and something to talk to.
Would this be a thought for a future postfix extension?
