I think the PowerPro Wallpaper-functions use stil32jp.dll for conversion just for backwards compatibility for systems with ActiveDesktop disabled (Win95/98) which cannot display JPEGs directly and also maybe for displays with 8bit color depth where 8bit- wallpapers might look better. Anyway you can easily do the needed conversion with IrfanView yourself with something like this: ; paths should be quoted and using "\" for i_view! local jpeg = ?|"path\to\back1.jpg"| local bmp = ?|"path\to\back.bmp"| file.runwait(3000, "path/to/i_view32.exe", jpeg ++ " /convert=" ++ bmp) Wallpaper.ChangeTo(bmp) If you use a BMP in Wallpaper.ChangeTo stil32jp.dll won't be used. JPEGs are always 24bit so you don't need any BPP-parameter. They will be converted into a 24bit-bmp like this, which should look like the original JPEG as a wallpaper.
