Under the Key/Mouse tab | An item with the command of *Macro is a text expander (we call it a keyboard macro). Maybe you have that? Sounds like Zoot is doing a trap and release of each key press, maybe monitoring for Zoot-specific keystrokes instead of using a registered hotkey, or other macro-like implementation? Sounds like the Zoot author is trying to do something non-standard, and very quirky.
