That is exactly what keyboard macro does. You could use the Find/Replace 
button under the setup tab. Check prompt before replace...and then it'll 
tell you if it finds things. Do some searches for:

Macro
Logkeys

see if you've turned any of these functions on.

I'll bet it's with Zoot. To test, close powerpro, download and install 
another hotkey manager. See if the problem occurs when that hotkey manager 
is running. I'll bet it does. From there, you can talk with the Zoot author 
on what/why he's doing what he's doing with keyboard input...and see how it 
could be implemented better =)
