thanks Sheri and bruce!
both methods worked however there's a few things i'd like to point
out.
Sheri, your idea of the messagebox works flawlessly but now i want to
improve it, i'll explain it further..
bruce you're completely right following the name of the desktop as it
changes when we lock/unlock the workstation, never thought of that..
however i made only one timer different from your's and i don't know
what i'm missing here because last night worked as it should with
this command:
>action
*Shutdown LockWorkStation noconfirm
>more commands
wait.activity (i added this because when i unlocked the timer was
still running)
if(win.getdesktopname == "Default")
timer.set("+e 0 30 0")
but today i had my music player running and the above timer was
always running when i unlocked, is it because of track changes?
anyway, i changed the timer and removed the if statement and it's
working as i wanted.
now, like i said early, i'd also like to improve the messagebox
method given by Sheri but i need your help one more time i don't know
how to deal with if/else statements.
here's the idea:
>action
messagebox("yesno question" , "lock workstation now?")
if yes then
*Shutdown LockWorkStation noconfirm
wait.activity
timer.set("+e 0 30 0")
if no then postpone 5
timer.set("+e 0 05 0")
goto if yes
hope that's clear! :)
is there a way we can do something like this:

one more thing, bruce how can we export timers?
i don't see that option in the export dialog.
p.s sorry for the long post
