Actually, that not a seeking sound. That a very special sound much more
louder than the normal seeking sound. That sounds like a plastic piece
banging against another one and. It's not regular but it never stops.

I've just bought that powerbook and received it by mail. Maybe a little
piece inside it went wrong during its journey. Do you think that I could
take the powerbook apart and figure out where the problem comes from ? Or is
it totally useless ? Do you know where to find the docs explaining how to
take it apart ?

Anyway, I will try Norton first.
