Ah, but he has an iBook, which does not have a built in modem or printer port. From what I can tell from Linksys's website, there are no Mac drivers available for their cards. You have a few options (all of which involve spending moolah): 1) Buy another PC Ethernet card for the older powerbook. 2) Buy a Mac serial to USB adapter for the iBook and use a Localtalk cable to connect them. 3) If it is a 1xx series book, scrounge around and find an old PB SCSI to Ethernet adapter like the Asante Micro EN/SC. I've never been able to get this to work on machines later than 68k though. There are many more complicated and ludicrous options as well that involve having at least one more mac. :) But we will leave those out for right now. Good luck!
