common type of wireless network.  There are 16 bit cards for 802.11b - the
recommended Skyline card, an Orinoco Silver, etc.  The other types 802.11a/b or
802.11b/g are combo cards that are 32 bit cards, as I understand it.  They
arose after 802.11b was developed and used.  However, someone may have found a
16 bit card that works on 802.11a.  I do not know of any.

But I would like to know of a base station that works with a iMac that is not
an Airport, if someone would like to recommend some.  We have 802.11b only.
