Well, I know ADB can't pump out 12 V (5 V I think is the spec) and no single device is supposed to draw more than 100 mA (though on the PowerBook 5300, the ADB port shuts down at a lower draw than that - something like 80 - 100 mA). In fact, I'm pretty sure I read, now that I think about it, that the 5300 can barely support a mouse's and keyboard's power requirements. It shuts itself off when the total load is about 100mA whereas a desktop pumps out about 500mA before shutting off the bus...
I'm too tired right now (just woke up), so can anyone else concur?
