Thanks for all the replies. I tried to wiggle things and close the lid to see if a crimped wire was causing the problem, but now it works OK. I think I will disassemble a little bit and check out the cables. I was thinking maybe it had a malfunctioning lid switch or maybe something corrupted in the system. But if it'll continue working, that'd be fine with me. Thanks again, peace, wayne
