In your first e-mail to the list, you stated that:

-When I try to boot with the battery, I just hear a loud CLICK CLICK
-CLICK CLICK from the speakers for about 10 seconds, and then the LED
-in the corner of the display housing is solidly lit. I have tried
-the steps to resetting the power manager to no avail.

Oops -- I meant with the battery *out* (and the A/C adapter in)

So, what you're saying is that when you have tried to boot your 3400c (a) using just the battery, or conversely (b) using just the AC adapter, you get the
CLICKx10 syndrome?

Sorry for confusions -- I get the CLICK(10secs) when I'm using the A/C adapter ONLY and not the battery inserted.

The only times I can get the PB to boot up are when the battery is inserted and the A/C adapter is plugged in, also.

Sorry bout that :-P

I think that could be the problem.

I've put in a few requests to different places (including LEMswap) for the PRAM battery cable...they're hard to find, so I don't think I'll be able to get my hands on one soon... :-(

Thanks a lot

Ian
