Did you try de-interleaving your ram? That stopped the panics for me. There are other suggestions at the xpostfacto web site.

I tried to install OS 10.2 on my PTP with a newer tech G3 400/512 MB RAM in it. everything went fine until I clicked install... then my computer booted up with DOS looking text and at the end it said: "Darwin Kernel 6.0 panic: We're hanging here" My first guess was the adaptec 2940U2W SCSI card. I took it out still no dice. then I removed my Firewiredirect combo card. still no dice. I removed the internal hard drive as it is not recognized by Apple Disk Setup, still no dice. My next guess is either the CD-ROM drive (which is not Apple approved) or the ATI Rage Orion (I haven't tried the old twin Turbo yet). Anyone know which one it probably is? Anyone know where I can get an Apple CD drive that is 24x read? OWC has 'em but the fastest is 12x... bla thanks for any and all input, Teddy K -- Power Computing is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Power Computing list info: <http://lowendmac.com/power/list.html> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> List archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/powercomputing%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
