Hi all.... I tried to install OS 10.2 on my PTP with a newer tech G3 400/512 MB RAM in it. everything went fine until I clicked install... then my computer booted up with DOS looking text and at the end it said: "Darwin Kernel 6.0 panic: We're hanging here"
My first guess was the adaptec 2940U2W SCSI card. I took it out still no dice. then I removed my Firewiredirect combo card. still no dice. I removed the internal hard drive as it is not recognized by Apple Disk Setup, still no dice. My next guess is either the CD-ROM drive (which is not Apple approved) or the ATI Rage Orion (I haven't tried the old twin Turbo yet). Anyone know which one it probably is? Anyone know where I can get an Apple CD drive that is 24x read?
