Verbose mode is activated by holding down the V key at boot correct?

I haven't tried this yet, but I can hear disk activity sometimes after the
screen goes blank.

Hmm .. I will look into my termination.. although it went from 7.5.1 - 8.1 -
8.5 -8.6 - 9.1 - 9.2.1 - 9.2.2 without a hiccup or rearranging the drives.(I
took a long upgrade path) Anyway I do concede it has been a while since I
arranged the drives and I could have messed up the termination. See Below

 __________1
[_SCSIBUS_]
          |______[ Seagate Elite 9 ] -- No Term
          |
          |______[ Seagate Baracuda 4 ] -- No Term
          |
          |______[ Seagate Baracuda 4 ] -- Terminated (Drive Powered)

 __________2
[_SCSIBUS_]
          |
          |______[ Apple Branded Quantum - 250MB ] -- No Term
          |
          |______[ Iomega Zip 100Mb ] -- Terminated (Drive Powered)

The drives on the 2nd Bus are mounted inside the case as internal drives.

Thanks again,
