Hi all, Although it appeared that my Norton problems were over i'm still having issues.
Presently if I put my computer to sleep, wake up and Powermail crashes (system inc). An fsck shows an Incorrect Block Count for Message Database, Orphaned indirect nodes, etc. A low level rebuild is required followed by rebuilding sort indexes. Norton 8.0 run in Emergency mode now no longer provides a undo feature, so i'm truly stuck. Anyone have any ideas how I can sort this, am I going to need to buy TechTool or other? If so which would be most suited to this problem? Any ideas how I can fix my insomnia? Many thanks, Adam On Fri, 2 Apr 2004 19:22:52 +0900 Matthias Schmidt wrote: >I think Norton warns you not to use it without having a backup. >So, if you have one, use it. > >Anyway, Norton is not a good choice on OS 10. >I never made good experiences with Norton under Mac OS. >TechTool4 is probably one of the best for Mac: ><http://www.micromat.com/> > >good luck >Matthias > >--------------------------------- >schmidt-systementwicklung ><www.schmidt-system.de> ><www.schmidt-system.com> ><www.schmidt-system.net> >Tel. +31-736-56-3905 >--------------------------------- > > >Am/On: Fri, 2 Apr 2004 12:58:48 +0200 schrieb/wrote: Adam Adam de Zoete > >>Hi all, >> >>I ran a Norton on my system yesterday and it found a PM file with bad mod >>dates.
