I have noticed a hang condition that plagues PowerMail on some HTML Messages. If I click on the message to view it, the colored beach ball appears immediately and after a requisite amount of time, I check the PM icon in the dock. The pop-up menu says "Application not responding" and "Force Quit" is active. During this time, PM is not responsive at all, no menus or clicks allowed. Most of the time, but not always, reentering PM after Force Quit allows the message to be viewed.
The one offender that might be familiar to some is the VersionTracker daily mailing of new items added. The display of the HTML looks pretty good and most of the time I can use it to view items of interest. The one thing that might be common among the messages that cause this behavior is that the CSS for the page is inserted at the top before the other Web content. Any ideas? Is this known?
