Wolf Creek provides the following response:

 

Any item tied off to the Spent Fuel Pool or Reactor Cavity, when
flooded, shall be surveyed, documented on Radiological survey map and
labeled as follows:

Caution Radioactive Material 

Contact HP prior to removal

Item identification 

Technician initials and date

 

This label shall be affixed near the point of tie-off that is visible to
the Radworker.

 

We also have criteria in our procedures that if the submerged contact
dose rate exceeds a certain value or the 12" reading in air exceeds a
certain value, Health Physics Supervision shall contact the requesting
group to provide a continuous watch.
