After attending the Canberra User's Group Meeting last week, it came to light that some facilities perform the Daily Source Check on their Portal Monitors differently. Thus the basis for my question... Does your facility source check each detector of your portal monitor using the alarm test function(like the Argos or PM-7)? YES for ARGOS Or Do you source check your portal monitor by placing the source in the middle of the monitor using the alarm test function? YES for PM-7 (initial response, does not need to see all detectors, we do verification like below answer) Or Do you source check your portal monitor by having a technician step into the monitor (in normal) with the source on their person?
