1. Does your plant use all seven compartments per Regulatory Guide
8.40, Table 1 when using EDEX (i.e. every multipack has seven dosimeters)?
Not every multipack has to have seven dosimeters, our procedures allow us
to group the compartments as we see fit. We do use all seven dosimeters
for diving.

      2. If “No” to #1 and your site combines compartments, what
locations do you group together? The most common grouping is
everything below the head as one compartment and the head/neck as a
separate compartment. Sometimes this is also in conjunction with EDs
on the upper arms. So far the EDs have been used only to determine
the highest dose to the body, not to perform the EDEX calculations.

      3. Has your site performed any calculations to determine the
delta in total EDEX dose using all seven dosimeters versus the
overall dose using combined compartments? No.
