GREETINGS Callaway is requesting benchmark information on your Radioactive Source Control Program to include the following questions: 1. Who (title) provides overall oversight of the control of Radioactive Sources (day to day oversight, not the overall "responsibility", such as RPM). RP First Line Supervisor 2. Who (title) performs receipt surveys. RP Technician 3. Who (Title) performs classification of source for Licensable Status. RP First Line Supervisor or RP Engineer 4. What database is used (locally grown such as "Excel or Access", or do you use a commercial product, and yes, I'm aware of Benjy's benchmark question last spring) We were using Access DB but since we went to WIN7, we are now using a locally grown app. 5. Do you have any "built in" Human Performance Tools (Self Check, Peer Check, etc.) to your process of classifying the source and/or entry to the tracking program. Peer check, RP supervisor inputs new data and peer has to verify and also input verification data into the database. Reply on list or if you prefer directly to Dewey at Callaway [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> Thanks Much Dewey : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : : DEWEY THOMPSON Staff HP Radiation Protection Department T 314.225.1061 F 573.676.4484 E [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]> .........................
