Cooper has utilized the DMC 2000GNs with sentinel since late 2009. Fermi would like feedback from peers on there use of the DMC 2000 GN for neutron monitoring.
Do you use it with sentinel? If so what version. We are using version 1.08.04. We are currently utilizing version 1.11.01. When we implemented the use of DMC 2000GN we were on version 1.08.04. Prior to the 2000GNs we utilized the Thermo EPDN2 which we also logged in with via sentinel. How do you use it in your neutron dose tracking program. We set neutron and gamma setpoints in RWP management and the worker logs in with the 2000GN via the access control module. The dosimeter displays both the neutron and gamma info. When they log out the dose (neutron and gamma combined) is captured in Sentinel via the Rad Access Log Table. The neutron dose is also visible in the Rad Access Management Module in Sentinel. We created reports via Microsoft Access linked to the oracle ODBC to track total neutron exposure for a job or specific time frame for a group of workers, as Sentinel itself does not currently provide this capability. This was not a concern until we started doing ISFSI campaigns. We only had one entry per cycle where we received any neutron prior to ISFSI (DW 500-800 lb inspection) Have you used it with any ISFSI campaign. Yes, twice. We also just finished up our ANI neutron characterization study. Any correction factors for the 2000GNs will be updated once we get the info back from RSCS. Any other information that may be helpful. When workers wearing 2000GNs are working in an area where a high noise adapter would be required we log them in an additional DMC 2000 that has telemetry and high noise capabilities through DMC User.
