Hi,

let see what I can do for you ...

1) Could you send me your ~/.kde/share/config/kpowersaverc ?
2) Could you try to delete ~/.kde/share/config/kpowersaverc, restart 
KPowersave and check if KPowersave crash anymore.
3) If this not help: could you try to compile KPowersave from SVN trunk? You 
can get an actual source package from the SUSE SRPM from here:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/dkukawka/openSUSE_Factory/src/
4) if this also not help:
   - start KPowersave with --dbg-trace from konsole
   - reproduce 
   - send me the crash log and the complete output from konsole and the 
     output of lshal as attachments
