Hi again, > Would be good to know if the SVN version work also if the module is not > loaded. Only to be sure that nobody run again into this problem. I just compiled kpowersave from the SVN... Congratulation, it's fixed. It does not crash when attempting to open the configuration dialog even when no the module dcdbas is not loaded in the kernel.
Btw, the modification of /etc/modprobe.conf I suggested is total rubbish and has no effect. Next problem I have is the suspend/resume process: - sudo pm-suspend works perfectly fine to suspend/resume my laptop - when I click on "suspend to RAM" I get the dialog: Could not umount external media before suspend/standby. (Reason: Could not call DCOP interface to umount external media.) Would you like to continue suspend/standby anyway? (Warning: Continue suspend can cause data loss!) Even if I click on "suspend anyway", nothing happens. (same for suspend to disk) The same of course when I press the "suspend" function key. Any idea in which direction I should check? Thanks again for the work, EP _______________________________________________ powersave-users mailing list [email protected] http://forge.novell.com/mailman/listinfo/powersave-users
