I'll post the press release in the next few hours. The confusion is my fault.
I did not tell Tony to keep the exponent secret until I had the press release
and web site changes ready. Since the mersenne forum had already guessed
the exponent from the dummy residue generated by the Primenet server, he was
just confirming what was already "known". Once that happened word was bound
to spread!

I've sent a draft of the press release to Chris Caldwell so we can both update
our sites.

I'm not expecting a big press splash as this is the third new Mersenne prime in
just 15 months! Its a nice problem to have.
