I'm thinking especially of the most likely case: when there is only one printer. I think it's OK to take a reasonable guess and try to reconnect, because, worst case, we can always delete it by hand. Right now, it's very easy to lose a USB printer, and any process that takes a stab at trying to reconnect would be better than what it does now, IMHO. This message posted from opensolaris.org
