so i've got an annoying printing problem that i was hoping someone here
could help me with.
the problem is that the last 1/4 inch or so of the bottom of every
page i try to print gets cut off.
i've seen this problem with the following configs:
s10 fcs on sparc + epson usb inkjet printer
snv_38 on i386 + (same) epson usb inkjet printer
snv_38 on i386 + hp usb inkjet printer
in all cases i configured the printer via printmgr. most of the
times when i print documents i use either lp or mpage.
after much trial, error, and wasted paper i finally found some mpage
options that allow me to not cut off the bottom of the page when using
that tool, but this is not an ideal solution. really i'd like to be
able to fix this in the framework somehow so no matter how i print stuff
i don't hit this problem.
i was thinking may be i could try changing the .ppd file for my printer,
but since i've seen this problem with two different printers it seems
like more or a framework issue. perhaps there's a filter script
somewhere that i could update?
should i just file a bug on the issues? (if so, what cat/subcat?)
any advice would be appreciated.
