Rick, I noticed on Calumet that all the primes are AF. Oddly, there's 28 MF but it's more pricey than the AF. > I tried some Sigma and Tamron lenses but > found the flare and contrast to be unacceptable so I bit the bullet and > started aquiring Nikon lenses which are better. So the 24-85 looks like a good contender or the 28 f2.8 AF. However, the 24-85 is not listed on the Calumet website (anyone know of other good UK websites?). The 24-50 and the 24-120 are listed. I suspect the 24-150 ramps more and has a lower transmission? I used to avoid the ramping zooms when I was shooting film but that was mainly because often, you were zooming in shot so had to light to the higher stop (always a pain because I liked to work around T3 when shooting interiors). How does the ramping work on your lenses? I assume the AM adjusts automatically? --/ Shangara Singh http://www.e-pixel.co.uk Adobe Certified Expert ~ Photoshop 7.0 PortfoliosOnCD for Photographers http://www.portfoliosoncd.com =============================================================== GO TO http://www.prodig.org for ~ GUIDELINES ~ un/SUBSCRIBING ~ ITEMS for SALE
