Dear List, I am curious if anyone out there has experienced a similar problem when scanning 35mm Kodachrome originals. I scan with the Nikon Super Coolscan 4000 and have noticed a strange "halo blur" effect. I have tried positioning the original with emulsion facing up and also turning the original 180 degrees with no luck. I know Kodachrome has a "layered" emulsion which is different from E6 films and a CCD scanner can cause halo effects, however this does not happen with every Kodachrome original?! (Never a problem with E6 films). If anyone has a super cool way of controlling this, I would be quite grateful.
