I tried the Nikon 80-400 VR at weekend on our S2 at a gymnastics event.
sharp and amazingly steady even at 1/60th. (at 800 asa). not too heavy either.
Was a bit too long for the event as it turned out, so anyone tried the new 70--200 f2.8 VR?
None too happy with the meter on auto, which I had to use as the gymnasts had to run through a strip of bright sunlight in the arena!
When measured against an F100 and a minolta meter it seems to be nearly a stop and a half out.
