Hi Charles, I did. The Volare is without doubt a fine and wonderful device. The one I tested was three years ago and in the times of a different distributor and I don't know what their maintenance was like so I apologise profusely for impuning your fine product. I will be testing some of your current range soon. Anybody who has worked with high end digital backs (indeed, anybody full stop) should know that the only way to compare these things is "hands on". However it is massively useful narrowing down one's choice of equipment to test by enquiring of the hugely knowledgeable group of experts that is Prodig. So, I'd still like to know if Peltier cooling leads to dust problems on the face of the CCD/CMOS array in any backs that use this system from real life users of the backs - thanks and mucho respect to Paul F for reply on Imacon!. My current back is uncooled and seems to have no particular dust issues (other than that generated by my bad housekeeping in the studio<G>). I do agree wholeheartedly with you that "It's a shame we don't have the opportunity to make a 'shoot out' in the UK." errrrm....perhaps all you Sales Managers should get together<BG>!
