I think you're right. It tested my theory AFTER I posted it. I tried three different printers and couldn't find an advantage as far a purge cycles to turning off on the printer versus removing it from power. I do think there's an advantage to fewer purge cycles and less wasted ink by just leaving the printer on. Mine typically stay on constantly. They'll only go through a purge cycle if a print is sent through after a rather long period of no use. I've had very little problem with head clogs. Whereas if you switch the printer off, its certain to go through a purge cycle each time its turned back on.
