It's called NYSSS, or the New York Standing Still Syndrome!....Now the
London Standing Still Syndrome. Probably hasn't travelled to Shropshire yet.
People who suffer from it say, "If you're not quick, you must be dead." To
paraphrase the Bard.
I still enjoy looking at John Blakemore's images. He took days to take them
and then weeks to process them, if not months! Now, that's image making,
even if it wasn't digital.
Frankly, the vast majority of the stuff that I see, digital or analogue,
doesn't bear looking at twice. My record for going around a complete
exhibition in the Photographers Gallery is about 40 seconds!
Anyone can shoot 400 digital exposures and turn up with one or two passable
ones. The trick to taking and enjoying the image making process is to take
400 in your head and press the shutter once � or twice! <g>
