Thanks - does anyone know if it can be used for shift-and-tile on a Sinar
without a digital Hasselblad?
Don't see why not.
If you tile 5 * 5 on a 7 inch square Sinar (for 57), you would get about 100
Megapixels, and I could get 120 degrees out of my Schneider Super Angulon
47XL. (Image circle 166mm)
Yes but like with the 3020 you may have to get an electronic shutter & controller, also bear in mind that whilst your large format Schneiders may have a large image circle, they lack the required resolution for digital imaging, your images will appear dismally soft in comparison to a dedicated digital lens like the Schneider Digitars. Trust me on this one, I have a brace of mint large format Schneiders which have not been used once since I switched to an Imacon 3020 15 months ago. They are unfortunately quite simply not up to the task, especially 16 shot captures, as I'm sure Robert and Stuart have made you well aware of the resolution requirements, yes indeedy .....more money !!
All the best,
Barry ( still spending yet more money on bits !)
